The wild season continues for the young Lady Tigers! Entering the District tournament as the #4 seed, the Jerome softball team caught lightning in a bottle and surprised everyone (except for J-Town Nation) and won the District Championship! The Tigers opened the tournament with a narrow win over Burley. Waiting for Jerome was the #1 seed, powerhouse Twin Falls. The Lady Tigers wasted no time showing Twin Falls that they were not intimidated by the Bruins and proceeded to crush Twin Falls, on their own field, 15-4. This set up the championship showdown with the #2 seed, the Mt Home Tigers. So Jerome traveled to Mt Home, a team they had not beaten yet this year. The battle of the Tigers was close, but in the end, it was Jerome hoisting the Championship trophy as they defeated Mt Home, 8-7. Now, Jerome represents the Great Basin as the District Champion at the State Tournament in Post Falls, May 20-21. Congratulations Jerome Tiger Softball! #OneTeamOneTownOneFamily
